Corporate Safety Director
Job Description
Titan International (TWI) is currently recruiting for a Corporate Director of Safety to be ideally located at the Franklin, TN corporate office or within one of the manufacturing plant environments.
This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the comprehensive safety program across all North American manufacturing and distribution facilities.
This role will have primary oversight for compliance with OSHA and FMCSA/DOT, and will provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure a world class safety program within all North American facilities.
Essential Functions
• Provide strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of enterprise‑wide safety programs, policies, and operating standards.
• Ensure organizational alignment with all OSHA requirements through proactive compliance management, corrective action planning, and continuous adaptation to regulatory changes.
• Oversee and sustain full FMCSA and DOT compliance across all transportation and fleet operations.
• Lead comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections, driving timely and accountable completion of corrective actions.
• Design and deliver impactful safety training initiatives for employees at all levels, partnering closely with site leadership to reinforce consistency and effectiveness.
• Act as the principal point of contact with regulatory agencies and provide leadership for incident response and investigation efforts.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on safety performance indicators, translating insights into continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with plant managers and executive leadership to embed a proactive, values‑driven safety culture across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- At least five years of progressive safety leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Union experience is strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–75% of the time to support multi‑site operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards; OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in FMCSA and DOT regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams and effectively influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Professional safety and environmental certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM) considered a strong advantage.
