Tire Design Engineer

Job Description

Designs and structurally defines agricultural and off the road (OTR) tires. Resolves product performance issues and ensures product integrity. Maintains accurate and detailed records. Attends industry conferences, internal and external trainings or related meetings and continuous learning opportunities.

Essential Functions

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
2. Three (3) years of experience as a Tire Design Engineer, Product & Design Engineer, Product Development Intern, Project Auxiliary Technician, or similar duties under a different job title. 
3. Three (3) years of experience years in designing and developing agricultural and OTR tires through the full lifecycle including prototype development, calculations, 3D modeling, simulation, mold, original equipment, and laboratory tests.
4. Three (3) years of experience years in measuring tire fabrication.
5. Three (3) years of experience years in estimating the proper distribution of rubber for tire shape.
6. Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally.
