Tire Code The “Ply Rating” designation complies with the designation adopted by the Tire and Rim Association. For all agricultural tires shown here, the term “Ply Rating” is used to identify a given tire with its maximum recommended load, when used in a specific type of service. It is an index of tire strength and does not necessarily represent the actual number of cord plies in the tire. The table below provides a tire selection chart and the code approved by the Tire and Rim Association for specific types of agricultural tires. (This code was created in the interest of simplifying reference to specific types of agricultural tires, regardless of the manufacturer’s design name.) Goodyear agricultural tires reflect the appropriate code number on the tire sidewall, in the vicinity of the size stamping. |
